Glass top shattered

My presto electric skillet glass cook top exploded in my dish drain. I had washed my dishes the night prior and when removing a cup from the drain my glass cook top exploded.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don’t buy! The lid explodes for no reason.

Exploded on my after 2 months of use. Glass got all over me and my daughters.

Thank you for your follow up. However, I am very disappointed in your company not making a change in the lid after so many incidents. Stop making excuses and alleviate the issue. As far as ‘home use’ and not for ‘commercial production’, you must not be familiar with our TEXAS Food Cottage Law. ONLY home use appliances may be used. Thus my inquiry for multiple cookers. Thank you for your time. Please do better.

Exploding glass lid

I have used this skillet less than 5 times in two years. The lid spontaneously shattered after washing with soap and water. Do not recommend this product.

Think twice before buying

I was drying the lid and it slipped out of my hands and actually shattered everywhere…is this safe to cook with? I have -pictures to attach but this message will not let me attach them.

Waste of money

The temperature control will cycle on and off - this is normal. For example when left on the warm setting, the control will reach 212 degrees and drop down to 160 and then back up to 212. I bought this skillet yesterday because I had one EXACTLY like it. I bought last one in 2004, 22 years ago, and really liked it. I never had one problem for the entire time.The cord got a little loose and the temp was varying a little so I bought a new one.
This skillet is awesome. Yoe can do anything with it. Breakfast, pancakes, French toast, eggs, fried chicken, lasagna, steaks, pasta s, anything you want, you can do it with this skillet..I used it almost daily for many years and it.never let me down.
Very enthusiastic 5 stars for this product. I could not be happier

Beware. Lid explodes out of nowhere

I’ve had this skillet like 2 maybe 3 months and the lid exploded just sitting on the counter. Wasn’t even using it. Apparently this is a common issue by the looks of other comments. I’m shocked because I’ve never had issues before with Presto appliances.
