Beautiful bed except for the space.

Looked for over a week for a bed and decided on this one. It’s a beautiful bed, easy to build, solid but there a few things:
There’s about a 3 or so inch gap in the bed once the mattress is on. I do not like this. If I pull the mattress all the way down the pillows slide between the mattress and headboard. This is not a true twin bedframe if there is so much space.
Second is the screws and washers were all in one bag. 2 different sizes ans 3 different sizes of screws. I got the one washer mixed up so had to take everything out and redo it.
It was a pain.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
