Whirlpool Duet Washer

I bought this new washer because my old one was so loud while spinning. The front loader spins way faster leaving my clothes more dry and is much less loud

Dries clothes quickly

I highly recommend this dryer. It dries clothes very quickly, way more than my previous dryer (which was 4 yrs old when it died). The size of the dryer is smaller, which is great! It takes up less room than my previous drier, and the capacity size was the same as my old dryer.This model is quiet. I did not buy the base, and it worked out perfect for the space I had. This dryer fit better than my old drier. I have enough room to keep the shelves above the dryer, and use the top of the dryer to fold and store clean clothes on. My mother's last Whirlpool, front loading washer and dryer lasted 13 years, which is why I bought this Whirlpool Dryer.

I'm in love!

This is our first set of front load laundry machines and wow! The amount of water we save on our new machine is substantial. It took quite a few loads to convince me it was enough to even clean our clothing, but it does an amazing job even when I stuff it full of bedding! Although it looks complex the machines are very easy to use and you can customize any preset cycle with ease. The only drawback from our old top loaders is the wash cycles are two to three times longer on the new machine. But the larger capacity more than makes up for it. Whirlpool has thought of everything on our new Duets and without writing a book, I can't touch on all the features that we love. All we can say is buy these and you won't regret it. We had to schedule a service call for a very minor problem with the dryer door hard to open and it was all setup online. I was very impressed! I had a repair tech at my door two days later! They had the parts I needed on the truck and 30 minutes later my repair was completed to my satisfaction!!! We are so happy we chose Whirlpool thanks to all for a quality product and outstanding service!

Very quiet and efficient

We have had this pair for abt 2 months now and are very happy with how efficient and quiet they are. Our clothes feel so much nicer than they did with old set.

Expected better for the price paid

Bought the Duet pair in April 2011 and since then the spin cycle on the washer is getting louder and louder. Sounds like a plane taking off! I love the larger capacity but clothes get all twisted up. So....I've decreased load size which is against one of the reasons I bought the washer. The cylce times also seem a bit long. 50 mins for a normal load of clothes?The features of the dryer are great. I really like the steam cycle. The wrinkle shield setting is a blessing, otherwise the clothes are more wrinkled than my old dryer. I also wish it would quit shrinking clothes...even on the Low heat setting. Cycle times could be longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good features that minimize energy use

I love how this dryer can detect the dryness of the clothes inside so it can stop the process earlier if clothes are dry early. The other settings are immensely helpful as well, like the anti-wrinkle setting that continues spinning the drum periodically so that your clothes don't stay and wrinkle from being in one position.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great dryer

I have only used my dryer a handful of times as I bought it a little over a month ago but I am impressed with the features and the way it looks. I actually look forward to washing clothes because I am so happy with my dryer that I want to use it. I don't have a large family so I don't have a large quantity of clothes to wash so I have found myself looking forward to using it.
