I Love this radio

Tivoli PAL user since 2003 This is my 3rd PAL radio But first with Blue tooth. I bought the new BT PAL to make it easier to pair with my iPhone (no mini stereo jack), since I mainly use it for at work to go from my desk to my workbench. I also have an old Tivoli Song book (love it) i use as my garage Radio, and My 1st PAL (no BT) got demoted to my portable out door radio. If your lucky you may find a portable BT speaker system with FM radio but to find a good one with AM as well, its not gonna happen. The Tivoli Pal's simplicity, portability, reception, battery life, and sound (even with just the one speaker) are more than enough, for a whole days worth of use. I usually go 2 to 3 days between charges. If I was to loose this radio, I would find it necessary to replace it

My new PAL BT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has asked me repeatedly to re-pair the device with my Iphone after not being able to connect to BT, even while being within a few feet. Not impressed-I had the same problem with your Model 1, the Andiamo Go and a third unit that was a box-sale stereo device who's remote control function stopped working after 1 year ( despite new batteries in the remote).As on my Anniversary Edition Model 1 I cannot use the provided power supply because I can get no radio reception as soon as I plug it into a power outlet. Same with the PAL BT.What is up with providing the cheesiest, cheapest adapter with a quality device?I bought my first PAL after hearing it in a cafe, being taken by the great, balanced sound it put out at good volume, back in 2001 or 2002. When I saw that Henry Kloss designed it I was not surprised any longer, since I am also an audio engineer.The power supply with the units then lasted for 10 years under permanent use of the radio at home, in the car and on the road and it did not negatively impact the reception and reduce it to white noise.Right now I am using my second Pal's power supply to charge my new PAL BT as well as to supply power to my Model 1. This is not just disappointing but also annoying .This is the wrong way of saving a buck in production!I sure would like a power supply that works for receiving a radio signal.The only obvious difference on the supply's cable is the little shield unit in line. I can only assume that being the problem, unless of course, the unit is as crappy as it feels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Pal BT in white almost 2 months ago. I wanted a portable radio that was attractive, with long battery life, with push buttons on the top. that does not look super old school, and was not narrow (which can easily fall over). Well, all of that is hard to find. I didn't get my push buttons on the top, but this radio is cute and portable and I have yet to need to charge it. It has decent sound and is easy to turn on and off. I don't use blue tooth a lot, and haven't tried, so I can't speak to that.I think is looks sleek and modern and comes in nice colors, and has pretty good volume and I really like it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
