The presets are working fairly well, although the toast setting browns darker on one side. (My main purpose for this purchase was to replace my old Cuisinart that had finally worn out. The size of the oven matters for my small kitchen. This is already too big, but I wanted to be able to cook a whole chicken.). Cooking frozen dinners, warming up foods, preparing well-cooked meats and fish are my priorities, and this oven either burns the tops or scorches the bottoms of the foods. I’m now experimenting with different manual settings and presets and hoping for improvement. The presets, by the way, do not allow for much change in the preset temperature. The “bake” setting holds you at or near 350 degrees for example. If you want 400 you must bake at “manual.” And then it burns. A cooking guide for manual settings would be ideal; but apparently it’s up to the customer to figure it all out. I’m doubtful that I’ll ever be really happy with this purchase.

Burnt plastic odor and poor design

I am a happy user of a Panasonic FlashXpress for years and very excited to see a new larger model with more features to I ordered the FlashXpress Air Fryer Toaster Oven NB-G211P. First a bad omen, the package was damaged (see photo) but the unit seemed OK. The instructions say to run it in Air Fryer mode first to get of an "odd" odor. The odor is a burnt plastic stink that even after running it over 6 times persists. The inside smells OK-ish but the fan blows out a stink that lingers. Over time it might get better but I had anther appliance where even after a year still had the same issue... not going through that again.
Additionally, Panasonic lost the plot on the functionality. The "Fryer" fan runs for every function, even toast. It's loud and it can't really toast or broil properly in constant convection mode. Plus instead of an easy button push like the old smaller FlashXpress fiddle with the dials for every function and then press start. Preheat also does not automatically finish and then start the cook timer. You have to press the start button a second time to start the actual cooking once the preheat is complete... and almost all the functions require preheat.
Unhappily due to the stinky odor I am returning the product. Panasonic needs to up the quality control of the plastic used in this product and also improve the functionality of the user interface and get of the fan running for every function.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ok, but not great.

Really wanted to like/love this appliance. Replacing a Ninja Airfryer and a Panasonic FlashXpress toaster oven. This unit is big. Controls aren't great. Doesn't do a great job airfrying or toasting. Example: no way to specify lighter or darker toast. No way to set up any presets other than the built-in functions which don't cook great. Fries came out too soft using the built-in feature. I could get it to cook fries correctly, but then I'd have to write it down because the built-in functions doesn't work well. Pizza came out pretty good. Overall, my older units worked better.

A fast cooking and easy to clean toaster oven and

Quite large but nicely designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really liking my new air fryer/toaster oven. Foot print wise it’s pretty big. But, that also means the inside is large and spacious. The dials are easy to turn to navigate through the settings. The air fryer/oven piece works well and heats up my food well and how I want it. I absolutely love some of the design details like the magnets on the inside of the door to help bring the rack out just enough. I do wish the manual setting had a memory. Every time the machine shuts off, it goes away. I also find it interesting that each setting has a set temperature range. I find myself going straight to the manual because I sometimes think some of the ranges are too hot, like the air fry setting. Overall, I have been really loving my air fryer.

My New favorite appliance !

With the convenience of two appliances in one I can choose from 11 different settings to make a simple toasted sandwich, a personal homemade pizza, bake a quick sweet snack for my daughter and more. I prefer this presentation over a regular fryer to be honest because I find it so much easier to clean and as a parent what you want most is to save time.
It comes with wire rack, an air fryer basket and a baking pan. Three different placement layers to use depending on what you’re cooking. It is a great size to make a family meal and user friendly also with a quick guide on temperature and settings.
