I have the Waterdrop X12 and I absolutely love it. The installation process was pretty straightforward and only took about a day for me to complete. The water tastes great, the unit is quiet and easy on the eyes, and the digital display on the top of the faucet is icing on the cake! I would highly recommend the X12 to anyone looking for an 11-stage, tankless, reverse osmosis water filter that not only delivers great tasting healthy water to drink, but looks stylish doing it!
We've been using the Waterdrop X12 for a few weeks now, and it is been such a great addition to our home. The setup was super easy no plumbing required and it looks sleek on our counter without taking up too much space.
We weren't using plastic bottles before, but we were definitely looking for a high-quality filtration system to support our familyis health. Weare currently working on improving our mineral status through recent HTMA testing, and knowing this system is helping reduce our heavy metal exposure is a big deal to us. The taste of the water is great, and we feel more confident about what weare drinking every day.
If youare looking for a solid water filtration system that can support long-term wellness goals (especially around detox and mineral balance), the Waterdrop X12 is an awesome choice.
Waterdrop X12 Review: 5 Stars from Our Barrier Island Home
We installed the Waterdrop X12 Reverse Osmosis system in our barrier island home, and weare thrilled with it. The setup took us about 2 hours, mostly because we had to run a power supply under the sink for the outlet. The instructions were straightforward, and the quick-connect fittings made it doable without a plumber, even for us DIY beginners. Side joke advice: Once you turn it on for its initial "run", make sure you have turned on the water supply or nothing flows through the system -- took me 25 minutes before I figured it out!
Living on a barrier island, our tap water used to have a noticeable smell from the salty, sediment-heavy supplyompletely gone now with the X12. The water tastes clean and fresh, with a slight mineral boost that makes it perfect for drinking and cooking. The system filters out nearly everything, including fluoride, which we love, and re-mineralizes the water for great taste. The TDS levels dropped significantly, and we no longer need the 5-gallon water jugs we used to buy since the town water was something we chose not to drink.
The compact design fits easily under our sink, and the smart faucet is a nice perk, showing water quality and filter status. We especially love the feature that lets us select specific ounce amounts to dispenseuper handy for filling coffee pots or water bottles without spills. Itis fast, filling a glass in seconds, and wastes less water than other RO systems we considered, which feels good for our coastal lifestyle. For anyone on a barrier island dealing with smelly or poor-quality water, the X12 is a fantastic solution. Five stars, and we highly recommend it!
My next addition is to figure out how to run my ice maker water line into the X12 and see how that changes ice quality -- even though that is a filtered system. We use the X12 in addition to our whole house water filtration system since it provides a much better quality of drinking water and removes more TDS which is important for our health.
I am very pleased with the Waterdrop system. I like the flow rate and the minimal maintenance required. The install was straightforward and trouble free. The most difficult part of the install was re-wiring the switched outlet under my sink to unswitched. I unplugged my disposal and left the switch on until I could get my electrician to provide a switched and an unswitched outlet under my sink.
I did not rate the taste 5* because we have great tasting well water. I got the Waterdrop because we don't constantly check our well water for contaminates. The taste is good.
