Good little greenhouse

Very pleased with this once it was assembled but it took two of us four days to put together as the instructions weren't clear. The recent high winds battered it a bit and I've had to tape up all the panels to stop this from happening again. Nice and spacious inside though and already have my plants set up in there.

My dad, my brother, and I put this together on Saturday in 4 hours approximately. The price is good for the value. I recommend gluing all of the panels into place for a better seal.

Grab your tallest, handiest friend and prepare for several hours, all while using Erector Set quality/size tools. If you can create a sturdy base, use self tapping screws to keep the panels in place, and manage to get it built, it's a nice, cheap, little greenhouse.

It is big enough for what my wife wants to grow in the winter time. Plenty of room for a few shelves to be put in. I like the vent in the roof area. It will help alleviate some of the heat. Can not wait till winter to get things growing and not have to worry about animals or bugs getting to our plants. This is gonna be a great addition to the garden.

Many Flaws

I hesitated o review the greenhouse because I do not like to give negative reviews. First, the unit is not 6' x 10', but rather 5'10" x 9'10", a minor item but truth in advertising matters. Second, the assembly instructions have no words, only pictures. This would not be a problem, except that the sequence of assembly is critical. You cannot insert either the roof or side panels with the supports to the inside installed due to the plastic end pieces. Third, the design has numerous flaws. The roof vent has a hold end, but not a hold closed mechanism. The roof and side rails are two short leaving gaps that leak. The side panels are not sealed on the top allowing water to enter and fogging the panels. The roof vent leaks in every rain. I used an entire tube of clear silicone caulking to seal the roof and wall panels. The door latch does not lock as advertised and there is no hold open mechanism for the door. I have tried numerous methods to seal the roof vent, without success. The gutter drain ends do not fit and cannot be installed. Overall is is a badly designed unit and I regret the purchase.

Very positively surprised

So, I bought this because of the low price and expected it to work alright but not to be great. I put it together and was quite positively surprised. The instructions were clear enough (if you've ever built a medium-sized Lego set, you'll be fine with this one) and the construction is well thought through. Despite this being made of aluminum and plastic, it is quite sturdy and well designed to get maximum stability out of the materials used. Definitely designed for low price using cheap, low weight materials, but this is well done.
The main concern I have shouldn't be held against the manufacturer given the price. It's really light weight and I doubt it will remain in place in strong wind (not get damaged, but simply be blown away). So I got me some extra hardware (some ground anchors and wires, total cost about $75), drilled some small holes in the frame near the upper corners, and tied it down. Then, I put four heavy landscaping rocks in the four inside corners. Finally, I drilled another hole into the lever of the roof window so it can also be fixed shut and isn't just held down by its own weight (the only design flaw I could find and a quite minor one, easy to fix). That way, the greenhouse should withstand the storms we get here (we don't get hurricanes or tornadoes here, but some pretty heavy thunderstorms).
Some advise: Like everything it comes with basic tools, but having a real screw driver with the right sized Allen wrench bit definitely makes things easier. Electric tools are an overkill, I think (except for the extra holes I drilled). It is probably possible to assemble this alone, but having an extra pair of hands to occasionally hold or align things is definitely helpful. I found it to be a nice couple's project for a weekend, unless you get easily frustrated and yell at each other ... ;) We finished this in about 10 hours total with no pressure or hurry.
Bottom line: I'm super happy with what I got for my money (I paid a bit under $500), I would probably still consider the price reasonable if it was a few $100 more .
