LOVE the tent, and the instant set up. BUT- one queen air mattress is ALL it will hold, with small luggage bag. I truly do NOT know how / why they say it will accommodate 5 people.- even 5 kids would be difficult.. All in all-Â a great tent, but not nearly as roomy as we had hoped.
The pole system on this tent is genius. It takes me 40-45 seconds to set the tent up, and another 15 seconds or so to add the one pole that holds up the awning on the one side. Super easy for one person. Also, does not require any bending to set up; you just walk around the perimeter and elongate the four poles. Literally everything you're doing happens at waist height. Haven't camped in it yet. I got it as an adjunct to a camper van, for when we want to sleep more than two people--and also because, with four doors, it can be used as a well-ventilated sunshade/gazebo in addition to as tent. Lots of standing room inside, but--even at 5'5"--I do have to duck to get in the door. Would've been nice if they had made at least one of the doors taller. All in all, seems like a great buy. And because it's SO easy to set up, I think I'll actually use it a lot to augment space in the van (unlike a fancier/more expensive one I have that requires me to wrestle with lots of poles for 10-15 minutes, and is hard to set up alone).
Tent is light weight and the easiest tent to set up and take down that we have ever had. Very durable quality and love that you can open all sides if you want.
It literately took me about 5 minutes to put this tent up, and I am a 65 year fat lady! The kids loved it. They slept in it for three nights (out of the box). They had a great time discovering the two sided zippers for the doors and screens and they filled the convenient pockets with their personal must haves.
Used this on a Scout campout. Was large enough for a cot and a field desk. It rained one night, and the only damp spot on the floor was from a puddle that had formed between the floor of the tent and the ground sheet. Damp, not wet. Ventilated well. Next to no condensation in the morning.Only downside is the door design. They unzip in an upside down "U" shape, so you have to sort of unzip them halfway at a diagonal and step over to get in and out
I bought this tent because I¡¯m 6¡¯4¡± and I don¡¯t like crawling into a low tent and try to get changed etc. I noticed the height was perfect for me at 78¡± and the weight was only about 13lbs so I was hoping i would be able to use this as a hiking tent which I probably could except it¡¯s about 3¡¯ in length so probably too big to strap on a backpack. Nevertheless it¡¯s a great car camping tent and it practically pitched itself. I honestly put it up in about a minute without even trying!?!? Amazing!! And it fit a queen sized air bed perfectly with just the right amount of spare room for gear and standing space for 2ppl. My wife and I tested it out in our backyard last night and it impressed us both. Only issue was that I didn¡¯t lock-in one of the legs and it slipped down a little, so make sure you lock-in all the legs so the little orange button pops out and you¡¯ll be fine. It is very light so the fabric doesn¡¯t feel like it¡¯s super tough and I¡¯m sure you¡¯d need to buy a fly so it could handle rain but all in all I was very happy with this little guy. Hoping to go to Joshua Tree next weekend to try it out!
