i bought this a while back and i thought it was so weird how the clamp was facing the other way but the lamp was an investment so i tried to make use of it. there was just no way i could use it with the lamp facing the opposite direction it should be. as i looked up the product again, it seems like i must have just gotten a defective one. pretty disappointing because this was so expensive and it could have been a good lamp if i could just use it. now its just collecting dust.

The Ott Lite "clamp" lamp is working wonderfully for me as a music stand lamp. There are no other music stand lights available that have the illumination power (brightness), adjustable lumens, and color temperature options as this light. I am extremely pleased with the way in which it lights up sheet music on the music stand and the surrounding area as I practice guitar playing. Ott Lite does not advertise this lamp as a music stand lamp but with a little ingenuity in clamping it in place it makes the best music stand lamp you can possibly buy.

Loved this lamp more than I thought I would. I have a small secretary desk with no room for a lamp base and tucked in a dark corner of my living room. I guessed, accurately as it turned out, that this lamp would be the perfect fit for the application I needed. I love the broad spray of light that this lamp affords. I love the controls and the three types of light. I loved this lamp so much I might get another.
