Not living up to the hype

Purchased 4 air doctors after seeing so many holistic providers recommend them on Instagram and hearing positive reviews. I have to say, I'm not as bowled over as I expected to be. The 5500 is WAY bigger than I expected and I honestly hate how much space it takes up, but it was the recommended size for our open concept living space.
Also, our home was found to have mycotoxins via testing so we expected the air filters to kick on high speed immediately filtering the air, but no. In fact, the 5500 has yet to detect "bad air quality" and the indicator has only ever been blue. This is puzzling to me. The only time our other Air Doctors show a red indicator light is when I'm cooking. Otherwise, blue light all the time.
It's honestly impossible to say whether they are making a difference so who knows.
Not trying to knock their product. I'm simply reporting our experience and it has left me feeling a little oversold on these products and regretful of the $$$ we spent on them.

I have several Air Doctors and love them except in the cold winter. The air blowing out is like air conditioning. This is true of other brands also.

Got a terrible sickness the morning after

I woke up with the scratchiest throat, and I never. Get sick , I 100% do not reccomend ANY air purifier does the opposite ! Uhhh i can’t even believe that happened. I think it was ozone poisoning. Please save yourself and don’t buy one

Great report from mold air test.

One of our family members had active mold in a medical test result. The doctor recommended we have our home tested by a professional company. The test showed very little mold in the air… the environmental scientist who ran the tests, commented that our Air Doctor 5000 and 3 Air Doctor 3000 are really doing their job! She was amazed to find so little evidence of mold in the air on our main floor and basement in Indiana. The outdoor air had a much higher count when tested.
