No handles
on December 6, 2024

It is quiet and puts out cooler air, which is nice during Spring/Fall when the central AC/heat does not come on too often! It definitely gets rid of odors, esp in closets and it is easier to breathe when it is running! This would be a perfect air purifier if it had handles or notches for easy moving, but I literally have to pick the whole thing up, with one habd holding bottom because it's slippery.

No difference

I purchased two units, and don’t notice much of a difference at all. My daughter calls it an expensive fan.

Noisy

I have purchased a whole fleet of Air Doctors for my home. I have MCS/CI/TILT after a mold issue in my home and require immaculately clean air. I trust Air Doctor.
Originally I bought the 5500 and a 3500 and loved them, although my family, who are sensitive to noise, were only happy with them on low settings - I think they are the quietest air purifiers I have owned (I’ve tried three other popular brands).
When I expanded further, I bought a couple more 3500s and two of these 1000s to put in bedrooms, mostly because they take up less space, but also because I thought they would be quieter for my family members. (I’m not sure if there’s decibel ratings online. If so, I did not check that out. Oops!)
Sadly, the 1000s are more noisy than the 3500 or 5500. I don’t understand how this could be. Both of my 1000 units are the same, which makes me think it’s not a defect. And of course, because I have such a favorable view of Air Doctor, I threw the boxes away, assuming I would love these, when really I want to return them. To be fair, your average person may be OK with the noise. But if you have any noise sensitivity at all, I would recommend the 3500.

Filters well and sleek design but very noisy
on October 7, 2024

I wanted to give this filter 5 stars. I own four other air doctor units in my home. I wanted one for my small bedroom. I regret not getting the slightly larger AirDoctor unit above this one. This one is very loud. I thought I could get past it b/c I'm used to air purifier noise but this one is really noisy. I don't recommend if you use it for a bedroom. I trust all the AirDoctor filters to filter well and protect my home, I'm just disappointed with the machine noise.

I’m a fan!

I do feel a difference and have peace of mind knowing that my indoor air is clean! It’s pretty loud on full blast, but quiet on low.

Exceeded expectations

It is very quiet when on low and leaves the room feeling fresh. I’m a light sleeper and I can easily sleep with it on. It sounds like a gentle white noise machine. It’s a perfect size for an office/bedroom. I love that it turns on automatically when there is disruption in the air. I’ve only had it for a few months in the summer (windows have been shut, central air on). It has only turned red or orange a few times and it has been when I’ve been cooking and burnt the pancakes :grimacing: but I’m looking forward to when my windows are open and need a good filtering of the outside pollution sneaking in.

Air Doctor

I'm hyper allergic to dusts and molds, and the Air Doctor 3000 takes care of the large areas of our home. My new Great Grandson seems to have inherited my problems. His first year of life was one I'll ess after another. I bought the Air Doctor 1000 for his bedroom and anticipate a happy healthy toddler this winter. (Family has a happy aircleaner fir the living room, so that is likely covered). I even pushed our church to get aircleaners for the basement since this is an old beautiful building. One week later I didn't react when going to events downstairs. I'm elated.
