Great humidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a HUGE fan of Crane humidifiers and this Personal Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier is no exception. It is lightweight and puts out a great deal of mist without getting everything around it saturated in wetness. This works wonderfully for when my kids get sick and need a little extra moisture in the air. It is ultra quiet so it doesn’t interfere with their sleep and I love the colors to act as a night light. I also love the sleek modern design.

Best cool mist humidifier for kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this crane personal ultrasonic cool mist humidifier as one of the best humidifier when my daughter was sick and her pediatrician recommended cool mist humidifier. It is quite lightweight and easy to use and maintain. I personally recommend if you have kids.

Just okay

I purchased this through my insurance company and Nations Benefits, so I'm not out any money, but I cannot return it. I don't know why, but the plug is detachable. And after using it for about three hours, when I unplugged it, the plug was hot. If I use this again, it will be when I'm awake and can see it, and it will stay on for only a short period of time. Last, I think it is worth noting that out of twelve glowing reviews, ten are from incentivized users.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Crane EE-5952 humidifier uses an external power adaptor to safely convert electricity from your wall outlet into the low voltage power that the humidifier needs to operate. Some humidifiers have this adaptor built inside the unit, while others (like yours) have it outside as a separate plug. Both designs work the same way, and the external adaptor is completely normal for this model.
When the humidifier is running, the power adaptor will feel warm to the touch—this is expected and safe. The adaptor’s job is similar to a phone charger: after charging your phone for a few hours, the charger also gets warm because it’s converting electricity. The same process happens here.
You can continue to use your humidifier safely as long as:
• The adaptor is not covered or placed on a soft surface while in use (it needs air to stay cool).
• The cord and adaptor are in good condition (no cracks or fraying).
• The adaptor is plugged directly into the wall, not an extension cord or power strip.
If you prefer, it’s perfectly fine to use the humidifier only while you’re awake and nearby. But please be assured that the warmth you feel from the adaptor is normal operation, not a defect or safety issue.
