No more plastic baggies for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try this out. It’s very easy to use and does not take up a lot of counter space. The instructions are simple to follow and the buttons are very clearly marked as to what they are for. The scale is a wonderful addition too. Vacuum sealed in no time!!

Eye grabbing appliance that misses the practicality mark

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Presto food saver looks really aesthetically pleasing on the outside. It's packaged well. Upon opening the box you'll find the scale which you screw onto the unit, a power cord, a couple of rolls of bags in different sizes, a hose and a couple of additional vacuum sealed bags.
The power cord plugs into the back of the unit and then into the wall. Once plugged in, it starts right up. I'm not sure if it's a universal issue but on my unit, it is a very loose connection in the back which did cause it to become unplugged several times which is frustrating. The scale on top works well and is a nice design feature and very helpful when doing large batches of ground beef.
I have used another vacuum Sealer in which the bags are on the roll inside the unit in a type of dispenser. I really dislike that this unit doesn't dispense the bags and they're separate. Another thing I find inefficient and cumbersome is that the unit doesn't stay open by itself and you're having to fumble around and hold the unit open while you situate the end of the bag needing sealed. It should stay open on its own. It's hard when you've got meat juice on your hands.
Overall, it's a fine unit. I think they put more money into the beautiful outside design and the scale than the inner practical workings of this appliance.

Good but takes practice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It includes a sensitive scale which saves time whenever splitting portions. It has several functionalities according to the level of suction that expand the possibilities for food sealing. Even after reading the instructions took me some time to get used as this is my first vacuum sealer but I’m glad to have it know to reduce my food wasting. In a small household it’s always a struggle

Multi-use kitchen gadget

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item works great! Use it to separate big packs of meat and it works perfectly. This will definitely keep me from wasting food and I’m so happy about this. It even has a built in scale. So far, I’m loving it. I highly recommend this product!!!

Fresh food, big savings !!

So effective but a little loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is easy to use and very effective. However, it is a bit loud and you have to use 2 hands in placing the wrap otherwise it closes by itself. Other than that very minor issue, this is a wonderful product.
