Cool Product for Millenials

I love taking photos and consider myself a photo critic. With that in mind, the concept of printing photos instantly from my phone is fantastic. I love how the Sprocket is easy to setup as well as being easy and fast to print photos from my phone. It has a pretty and sleek design and is very lightweight. It does have some additional features, but I have no use for them. You can add borders or emojis to your photos and make the overall tone lighter or darker. I thought the emojis were a little tacky. I would have loved if you could alter the clarity, saturation or exposure of the photos. That would have made a huge difference for me. The quality of the photos once printed is greatly lacking. The colors are kind of muted and aren`t really consistent throughout the photo. It looks like they were printed from a quick Walmart kiosk. The photos do have a nice sheen and don`t get fingerprints, so that`s nice. Back in the 90s there was an instant snapshot camera and this Sprocket has much better ease of use, speed and quality. Also, the photos don`t smudge once they are printed. I would like to see the quality of the colors on the paper improved and that is really my only drawback. Overall, I feel like this product is great for tech savvy young people. I could see a high schooler or college student printing photos and giving them to friends or decorating their rooms. It is very easy to use, so I could see people from different age groups using it successfully. I will probably continue to use it, but not as much as I had planned due to the lackluster colors.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hey Amanda,

It's wonderful to hear that you love the printer's easy setup process, design, and portability! That's exactly what we were aiming for and I'm so happy that we delivered on those.

I really do want to apologize, however, for the misfalls in print quality, color output, and photo editing. I certainly appreciate you sharing your experience, as this feedback will be helpful to our product development teams in making improvements going forward. In the meantime, however, I have some helpful tips I'd like to share with you so we can enhance your overall print experience.

First off, I have some great news for you in that the HP Sprocket app does offer editing features that allow for improvements to saturation and brightness. You can visit page 5 of the app user guide for more details: hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06126164.pdf

With regards to bettering print quality, there are a few different steps you can take. To start, updating your printer's firmware is always a good idea. We're actively working to improve photo and color quality through these updates, so I recommend going through that process. The following link will also provide some additional tips for photo quality improvement: support.hp.com/en-en/document/c05660842

After the firmware update, you might find these bits helpful as well:
- Disable the Embedded Experience option from within the app (if enabled)
- Always use the Blue Smartsheet with your paper pack
- Apply the Photofix feature by editing the photo and tapping the wand

If any of this falls short, please remember that you can always reach out to us for support as well. We're here to help in any way we can. You can get in touch anytime via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

Very easy to use and instal to my iPhone. It`s nice to print pictures 2x6 for wallet sizes. But I wish it had the abiility to do 4x6 or 5x7sizes since those are more common picture sizes. I like how the app has different filters toEnhance your photos. Otherwise I probably won`t use it as much as I would if it allowed to print other sizes

It's so wonderful to hear that the printer has been easy to use! I would like to apologize, however, for the lack of other media size options. In the meantime, I hope you continue to enjoy the printer for its wallet-sized prints. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for support. We're always here to help! You can get in touch anytime via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

Fun & Easy to Use

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Assembly: The printer came in a small box/packaging. There was not much to put together but add the photo paper. The instructions made it very clear on how to add photo paper to the printer. I was able to power on and print a picture from my phone within ten minutes. This included downloading the application for my phone device to be able to print them and connecting the printer to my phone device by Bluetooth. How it compares to other similar products: the colors on the photos are the best I have ever printed. They come out faster and there is no drying time. Overall: It`s a high quality product that works well and fast. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Can make for a great gift. I find the product expensive as compared to other products that promise to print your pictures quick. However, the higher cost may due to the better quality of the printed picture.

Pleasantly Surprised with HP Sprocket

I am really happy with my HP Sprocket. I wasn`t sure what to expect from a tiny photo printer, but the capabilities are out of this world! First off, the set-up process was a breeze. I like that this product has an app, which makes the use of it that much easier. The set up was complete within 5 minutes, and I was ready to print out my first photo straight from my phone album. The photo quality is super - another feature that makes this product superior to most. It`s literally the size of a smartphone, and has the printing capabilities of a top-tier photo printer. I definitely suggest this product to people who are fans of tiny photos to use as decor, scrapbook connoisseurs, and any other person who likes having digital prints, with a stick-on bonus. I am also impressed with the minimal design, so it looks sleek and trendy on my desk setup.

Fun and easy to use printer

Set up/Instructions: I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was impressed at how easy it was to install and use. I installed the app on my phone, followed the instructions, charged the product, and it was ready to go!The product itself: The printer is small, lightweight, and comes with a charging cable. It`s not small enough to put in your pocket or anything but it doesn`t take up too much space and can easily fit in a backpack or book bag which is nice. Printing: You can customize pictures from your phones camera roll, use filters, etc. The printer paper is small and the back peels off so you can use it as a sticker if you want. It`s a fun way to print photos at home. I will definitely continue to use it.

Not enough information in advertising

I bought this thinking it would work the same as my old Sprocket. But it did not work like my old one, it said my IPad could not support it. I really think that more should have been said about the Sprocket in the advertising about it.

Hi there,

I'm so sorry that you're having difficulties using your iPad with the printer. This wasn't at all our intention, so I'd really like to see how I can help resolve this.

I would first like to clarify that any iPads past the original 4th generation are compatible with the Sprocket. To ensure you're using a supported iPad, you can visit the 'Mobile System and Device Requirements' section of this document: support.hp.com/document/c06037820

If you are using an iPad on that list, please contact us for support so we can work through this with you. We'd be more than happy to help, so you can give us a call at +1 800-474-6836 between the hours of 8 am - 9 pm ET. To expedite things a bit, I recommend gathering this information beforehand:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Your case number (from prior contact with support)

We look forward to clearing this up.

A little tricky at first but after...great product

It’s a great product but packaging gives it the appeal it is an “eh” product. After connecting and downloading the app, nothing would print through the app. Got frustrated and tried many things. Turns out, we had to power the Sprocket off and on before we could print anything (it was connected but no printing until resetting the power). After the printer restarted, it’s been a fun, nifty tool to use and makes great, 2”x3” clear photos with it. Nowhere in the instructions or app did it say we had to power off and on the device for it to print. The device prints fairly fast (about the same as a color photo from a regular sized HP printer).
Cons: More RAM, Smoother Mouse Pad
Pros: Lightweight
