Do not buy if using as a Bluetooth speaker!

I've had this speaker for a year now and from the start had Bluetooth pairing issues. Do not buy the speaker if you plan on using it primarily with a Bluetooth device, specifically a phone. The connection cut in and out frequently from the first few times using it, and by now simply will not enter pairing mode at all- after following all potential troubleshooting steps. Used this speaker about five times total, because it was purchased for a single event. Really wish it still worked as a general area speaker but will probably have to try and sell.

To try and get this sorted, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try if you haven’t already:
1) Reset the speaker by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds until it turns off, then turn it back on.
2) Initialize the speaker. Find detailed instructions here: https://helpguide.sony.net/speaker/7855/v1/en/contents/TP1001275055.html
3) Clear the Bluetooth pairing list on your phone, then try pairing again.
4) Test the speaker with a different Bluetooth device to see if the issue persists.
If you’ve already tried these or if the problem continues after trying them, it sounds like a repair might be necessary. We recommend looking for a local electronic repair center online; they might be able to help you get your product back in working order.

I bought this almost a year ago and it's the best choice I've ever made in my life the sound is perfect no matter what because you can edit how it sound on your own terms
