Worst Defender I have had in 5 iPhones.

I have gotten an otter box defender for every iPhone I have ever owned and I have to say I have been disappointed in this one the most. I still recommend the defender case over almost any other case but I bought two defender cases for my newest phone, the iPhone 12 Pro Max, I like to mix the colored cases with a black case to get my own two-toned case look, and both cases cracked on the hard shell part along on the screen. The first might have been due to a drop of the phone on gravel, though it only fell about 2-3 feet and previous defenders would have never cracked from that kind of fall, but the second case/phone was never dropped. I first started noticing that the hard shell was peeling along the bottom of the screen and a thin strip of the case peeled off from that section of the hard part of the case. A few weeks later I noticed that there was a spilt straight up the left side of the case about an inch long right next to the volume buttons. There was no drop or any reason for this split in the hard plastic to have occurred. I am going to order the defender XT and try and see if that is any better as I am not happy with the current defender series. Also so no one says it’s because I mix cases, both cases are otterbox defenders I just take the black outer shell and put it with the pink hard shell and the hard black shell and put it with the purple outer shell so there should be no issue from ‘swapping’ colors.

Doesn’t come with a screen protector which must be bought separately which makes these pretty expensive. But having said that, you cannot buy any case that affords better protection and with the price of the new IPhones, it’s worth it.
