I've had OtterBox cases in the past and this case for my galaxy S23 doesn't even come close to the to the robust quality of older versions. The material is thinner which makes it feel flimsy. The rim that surrounds the screen barely protrudes above the screen surface and therefore won't provide any drop protection. The retention clip on the holster is in the wrong location as it sits right on top of one of the phone control buttons and prevents it from clicking into place. If you rotate the phone to fit in the holster it doesn't fit tight and when the phone is removed it's in an unnatural position in your hand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not for 90% of the planet.

As a major customer and a Right-handed person as are 90% of all the humans on the planet I can speak for every one and say we've been ripped off and we kindly demand that you fix it asap I don't need to tell you what's wrong with it im sure you know by now I just want to know when you are going to fix it no games I want the date and time!?!? Doesn't seem ambidextrous

It looks like the case and holster is designed for a left handed person. When wearing on the right side, the phone must be placed backwards in the holster (or what seems to be backwards to me) for the clip to lock the phone in.

not happy with the belt clip and design. I have to flip the phone upside down to put back in holster which increases chance of me dropping phone. S23 defender looks like it was designed for a lefty, not a righty. This is my 4th otter box and first disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some reason this is directional, the phone has to be entered in the correct orientation. My last otter box the clip was centered and could go either way. This is a pain because the way I naturally put it in is opposite the direction it fits.

I am very pleased with the defender cases i had one on my s21 and loved it. This one is same great case by the clip was changed and now have to flip phone upsie down to use clip dont care for that redesign and shipping took foever.
