Diminished protection for iphone16

Despite using the Defender series with every cell phone I have ever owned, since I need the textured shell, this design is making me rethink the case options. The area around the camera slide has been broken twice. Thankfully I had also invested in protective glass. Additionally the extra protective glass on the camera lens is the only thing that saved them. I have only dropped the phone a few times, but the case isn’t living up to its past performance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have really liked Otterbox cases for iPhone protection. however there is a design flaw in this particular case in my opinion…. The camera control has absolutely no protection and my front protector already has a star and crack across it after only a couple weeks of getting my new iPhone 16 Pro Max!!!
