I had two of the original bullet blenders and the motor burned out after a year with each. I loved mine and figured it was just a bad one, until I bought the second and after less than a year, I had a puff of white smoke and it burned up too. I followed all of the instructions, for cleaning too.
I've bought 2 of these sets, one for myself and one as a gift. BOTH had the seal in the screw on base come off. It's hard to make smoothies when your ingredients run out the bottom!! Poor manufacturing quality.
Got this as a baby shower gift a few months ago. Recently took it out of the box and started using it because my daughter is old enough for pureed foods and used it 3 times. It sparked and smells like burn electrical wires now. I won't be using it anymore.
I bought my magic bullet so long ago that I want to buy another one just because. I LOVE it. My husband made fun of me when i first bought it but now we both use it and my daughter started making her own smoothies. My only wish is that they somehow make the cups stackable. (And maybe they have with the newer version) It would be tremendously space saving if they stacked.
Last May I was given this for my birthday and I fell in love, really mastered how to make a delicious smoothie then this January it broke on me. I was using it daily when I, and my family, got Covid all we could keep down was smoothies. Then one day in the middle of making a smoothie it just turned off and never came back on no matter what I did. It didn't even last me a year ☹️ and since it was a gift I cannot even attempt to return it. Therefore I cannot rate it 5 stars like I'd like to do.
I was fortunate enough to win this Nutri Bullet. I had saved using it until by former blender stopped working after having it for almost 5 years. I make raw veggie shakes and my other cheap blender would liquefy the shakes and they were great. But this Magic Bullet has only one setting and leaves my lemons with the rinds and celery all chunky, no matter how many times I mix it or how long I leave it blending. Will be buying another cheap, reliable blender which actually liquefies smoothies.
