Second Hauslane unit. I bought the PS18 hood last year for my home. I was so happy that I am buying another hauslane hood. This time I am buying it for my vacation home. This wall mount style hood looks great in my kitchen. Like always, I am happy with it.

This range hood is spectacular! Suction power is strong; quality is top notch and I like the customer service from Hauslane. I spoke to Emily and she was very helpful in getting me to pick this range hood. It was a good choice.

Kitchen Remodel

Hood is a great design for our just completed kitchen remodel. I was a little concerned about 'noise' levels, but after performing non-scientific measurements, sound isn't a problem. Ambient sound level is about 48db in our kitchen, and while standing directly in front of the stove the lowest setting is nearly inaudible (2db increase). The middle setting is 10db above ambient, and the highest setting is only 20db above ambient. At its highest setting, this hood is still much quieter than the OTR microwave exhaust fan (30db above ambient at its highest setting, and only rated at 300cfm) it replaced. The LED lights provide sufficient lighting for our needs. The removable baffle filters are not the easiest to remove, but doable. I'd recommend giving this hood consideration.

It is lovely. Quiet when on the first two levels. Loud on the third, as expected. Only complaint is the wrapping materials are a monster to remove and clean up from. Otherwise very happy with the hood.
