Super Light!

Got the Singer M1500 last week and started using it right away. It is so easy to use and it is quite light to carry around. It came with 2 threaded bobbins! I love the pamphlet it comes with which visually tells you how to thread the machine. If you have any doubts you can go online and see exactly how it is done. Highly recommend it!

So happy with this sewing machine! I have been sewing for years with my mums sewing machine and when I finally moved out, I had to get my own. I have been using this machine almost daily for the past few months (since I bought it) and it’s been perfect! A few jams here and there, but of my doing! It can sew very thick material too. I haven’t tried the zip foot yet but will do in the next few weeks but I’m sure it is great and if not I will edit this review!
No complaints so far! It’s a perfect machine for beginners-advanced and I love it! The size is also great as I live in a small apartment and it doesn’t take up too much room!

Not what I expected

This was my first ever sewing machine, so you can imagine how excited I was, but it was a real disappointment… this machine jammed SO much, it’s not even funny. I’ve tried everything: rewinding, carefully placing, wax, conditioner, quality thread, easy fabrics— nothing worked. I wasn’t learning with this machine at all, so I finally returned it will all my disappointment. (Side note: the pedal sensitivity has very poor control. Lightly pressing just makes a whirring sound, pressing a little harder and the machine bolts.) Anyway, I really wouldn’t recommend this machine to anyone, especially someone trying to learn.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've never used a sewing machine in my life, but this is a very easy machine to use for repairing torn fabrics, etc. I highly recommend this product to beginners!
