I’m left handed and this machine is favors right handed sewers. Everything requires the right hand. Including: the automatic-needle threader, removing the bobbin, and every single lever, button and switch. Even threading the needle requires the right to left movement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am new to sewing and this machine made it so easy to learn on. It is easy to use, runs smoothly an so quiet. The app is amazing! No need to waste paper on a printed manual, the app goes into written and video detail on every part and function and even assists with settings depending on what you are working on. Great job Singer!

Great manual machine

I bought this machine to do heavy duty projects since my Janome is not good heavy material. I use this machine almost all the time for all projects. I would definitely purchase another like this one.

printing 66 page Mulit-language manual - wasteful

just got this machine yesterday as a late birthday present from my kids, they have been out of stock due to covid. Just getting is set up and my big complaint is having to download the manual- I understand that you want to cut down on the unnecessary waste of paper, however I had to print off the manual in 3 languages, even though I only need the english version. so I printed off 66 pages of the manual, only 31 was of any use to me, and in actuality only half of those pages had anything on them, bottom half of page is blank; Left me with 35 pages to throw away! waste of my paper and printer ink ! not so impressive..... Also the "dust" cover included is rather cheap fabric.....

Great Machine

I've had my machine six months and I really enjoy sewing with it. It sews nicely, easy to use and very speedy. My only "gripe" would be that I struggle to hold it back when trying to sew slowly. Otherwise it has been great value for money and a really good machine
