I use for hobby sewing projects, currently that includes twiddle blankets for Alzheimer's patients and surgical masks for people in my neighborhood. The machine is really good, my only complaint is it's a little noisier than my old one, and I don't like the holder for the spool of thread on top. It's very small and pops off.

With the virus, and so many places requiring facial masks, I felt I had to do my share of playing in forward in making the masks and head wraps for this community. I needed to purchase a sewing machine, and always owned Singer. I am so please and the most fantastic thing about this machine is the needle threader. Even in my teenager years threading a machine was difficult, and not many years later, I dreaded having to conquer the needle threader. When I purchased the machine, I did not know of this terrific detail, and when I read the instructions on threading the machine and came to this feature, I yelled for joy. The machine sews perfectly, and I am very happy with the purchase and highly recommend to anyone looking for a new machine. Plus I thought the price was reasonable.

Hard to set up. Heavy duty? Um, no. It won't even sew through quarter inch elastic. I am so disappointed. I will be returning this.

I originally bought this machine to work with heavy fabric that is used to make boat motor covers and plastic windows. It has done a great job in both instances! Would highly recommend!
