I’ve sewn on a Bernina fot 40 years and thought it was time for an update. This is loud, clunky, and, other than sewing a straight stitch, very incapable. None of the feet I have used have worked even though I have read all manuals and watched YouTube videos. Would return but the box got tossed on accident
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’m a complete beginner, and this is my first sewing machine. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I am really enjoying learning how to sew with it! Simple start up, with a quick learning curve. Very easy to use for a beginner, and I would definitely recommend it!

Jamming thread

I’ve had a lot of problems with the thread jamming up in the bobbin bay. If I let it sit for a few weeks the problem seems to correct itself sometimes, but it’s very frustrating. It also makes a really loud clunking noise sometimes, I’m not sure what that’s about but it scares the heck out of me. Now, the foot control stopped working. I was having a few problems with it here or there with the pressure not working, I would have to press the petal all the way down to full speed and then gradually let up to the speed I wanted. It’s an amazing machine- when it works properly. But I would spend a little more money for a product with less problems. I’m really disappointed singer did not live up to its reputation with this machine. I’ll probably look into some different brands for my next machine.
