I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This is actually sturdier than I thought it would be! I was concerned the top would bow down but it hasnt yet and I don't think it will. I have 2 coffee makers and a 4 slice toaster on mine. I store extra drinks, potatoes, onions, and bread in mine. It freed up the counter space I needed & added storage.

Elegant and Practical

This kitchen sideboard storage cabinet is a great addition to our kitchen. I bought some Sterilite short weave baskets, as well. That fit perfectly in the open shelf so I can have smaller items in them and it looks nicer than just having those items on the shelf. The dishes also fit on the shelves inside the doors which is great as well for extra organization. Overall, this storage cabinet is really great, and sturdy.

Just what we expected

Just put this unit together... 2 hours for one person (would have been less with help!). One of the best assemble-it-yourself pieces we've seen since the screws and hardware are all labeled by number in separate plastic bags and the furniture pieces are all labeled by letter (on a very small tag which you have to look for). Once their system was understood it was just a matter of common sense. Did the entire assembly with just 1 Phillips screwdriver.A few caveats... some pieces have long grooves which are to hold the very thin back panels. Make sure the grooves are always at the back when assembling or you'll have to take it apart and try again. Like we said, the back panels are very thin, almost flimsy. We'll probably use some of the Styrofoam panels it came with and some heavy duty glue to shore them up from the back (which has the added benefit of letting us inch it closer to the wall without hitting). All in all a better experience than some other kits (including IKEA).This was purchased for our home office use to help organize the overflow of small things, envelopes, extra pens, etc. etc. etc. We won't be putting heavy files anywhere except maybe the bottom shelf because we don't want to bend the upper shelves. We bought the black version and there were no obvious scratches.If it were sturdier, especially the back, we would have given 5 stars.
