S22Ultra Case

works ok, but doesn't protect the side buttons enough to keep them from accidently getting pushed in your pocket, so the phone is constantly turned off or trying to download a new OS by pushing and holding all the buttons while it's in your pocket. not really useful to discover the phone has been off for who knows how long when you pull it out of your pocket. Previous Otterbox for other phones had this feature. Going to have to look for another case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It put nicks and dings all over my frame of g s22

So at the time I bought a galaxy s22 ultra brand new paid in full, a top of line screen protector and, the defender series pro otter box case. The phone has never been taken out of the case except for when I cleaned the case other than that it stays in the case. So my problem with it is yes paired with a good screen protector u won't have to worry about breaking your screen when dropped, but you'll have to worry about the case dinging up and putting nic's in your frame on the s 22 ultra every time it is dropped. My 5 month old flagship phone is riddled in chips and dings all around the frame from the case. The phone only ever has been drop while it was in the case. I would take pics and show them in this rating but I'm writing this rating on said phone. Ps at the time I use to own a galaxy s7 with an otter box case that is of the same concept of the defender series pro case, and that case had be broken to the point were the only thing holding it together was the rubber outside of that case. That s7 still to this day does not have a single nic, chip, or scratch anywere on that phone and it is still in the same broken case 9yrs later. The only damage it had was the protective coat on the home button was worn away because the case was not supose to cover it for the finger print scanner. The s7 case was top tier protection compared to this one for the s22 ultra which is turing out to be mid tier.

Terrible scratches along the sides of my phone

First off, the case has protected my phone from many falls--it does its job in that aspect.
I have had this case on my S22 Ultra since day one. I remove the case often and clean both the case and my device, but the case has hard plastic in contact with the sides of the phone, and this has caused many deep scratches/dents along the perimeter of the phone. I have used an Otterbox on all of my phones, including my S21 Ultra before this one, and no scratches like this occurred. I am sad to say I will be trying another case manufacturer after this experience.
