My daughter complained of skin and nose irritation caused by dry air. So we picked up a humidifier at the local discount store. After a week, we discovered a couple of key things wrong with our choice - small water capacity, hard to fill, and little bit loud when running (at least, loud for her).
We looked at the mega online store and read several reviews. The Crane 1 Gal Top Fill looked like the perfect solution. We've had it for nearly a month and daughter loves it. When the weather is cold and heaters are running, adding humidity is essential. With the first humidifier we'd bought, she was having to fill twice per day. With the Crane, filling is now once every two days.
She's 24 yo and doesn't use the nightlight or the white sound, though we checked out both features and found both to be pleasant experiences, but she's extremely sensitive to light and sound. The Crane humidifier quietly sits in the corner on her bookcase (we found a black open-stock dinner plate at the discount store that makes an attractive tray to protect the wood surface), keeping her room at a perfect 50% humidity.
The Crane costs a little bit more than the first humidifier we bought, but not a budget-breaker and we anticipate it will provide comfort for at least 2-3 years. It was definitely worth the difference.

This is seriously the best humidifier. The amount of mist that comes out just on low is incredible & the top fill makes things so easy! I love that it is also a sound machine & night light for my little ones. Buying two more for other rooms asap!

I can not tell you how much I love this humidifier, I seen it on tic tok and knew my baby had to have one and I don’t regret buying it. It soooo much better than my old one. The main selling feature for me was the top fill. I can clean and fill it much easier now!

I absolutely love this humidifier. It's so easy to fill and clean. The sound machine and night light works awesome for kids of any age. I love that it has three different humidity levels. It so quiet even when it's at its max. I love the new feature of the strip that the mist comes out of because it's so easy to take off and clean. The vapor strip is an added bonus that I'll be sure to use, as well. Crane continues to improve their humidifiers, and they are the only company I'll use.

Wonderful humidifier for my children's bedroom. Easy to put together, fill, and clean. Haven't had to use the white noise feature but my son loves the color changing light. currently using the humidifier on low for a smaller room. But can easily see how this can work in a medium/large room.

The top fill is great. The sounds and the lights are (kind of) useful. It doesn’t run for long enough! Every time I look at it, the light is red and there’s no steam. It doesn’t even run for long enough to empty the tank! If I still had the box (and energy) I’d send it back.
