[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We only have the unit a few months but so far we are very pleased with our Homelabs 50 pint unit. Six months will tell me if the unit will last years. I was so tired of trying to figure out which one to order and my son said he has this unit and it is working great. That convinced me and decided this one will be the one to order after so much time trying to decide. So far a happy camper.

I hate the side discharge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate the side discharge on the unit. The tank is light weight. I now worry about the screws that hold the tank to frame breaking the tank off the outside case.

Amazing performance

I have an earlier (non-wifi) version of this dehumidifier, and continue to be amazed at how much water it pulls from the air. I have had it running year-round for about 6 years and it still works great.
I have tried other brands (GE, Danby) and they collected only half or one-third as much water as the HOme Labs device and they lasted only 1-2 years.
When the time comes, Ill definitely buy another HOme Labs dehumidifier.

Figured it out. How to get the hose drain to work!

As another person noted--How do I get the gravity drain to work!!! I had this problem too, I looked at materials sent with my model 1003 and saw nothing but connect the hose. But this had the machine filling the tank, which I did not want. What the instructions do not tell you is that you must ( I had not) open the bucket, take out the cord wrap gizmo, then put the bucket back in, and NOW the gravity drain will work. This should be noted in the instructions. But then I should have opened everything as I was instructed to do. The machine is working just fine and I like the app to check on it.

This dehumidifier has cleared the air and improved our living conditions dramatically. The tank is large enough to handle all day use and only needs to be emptied once daily. The design and footprint of the machine is appealing and minimal. The smooth rolling casters are an excellent additional feature. Highly recommended!!!
