12,000 Back & Decker BPACT12 air conditioner

Just turned it on and am so happy! It is not very loud, easy to install and cooling down
my small living room (about 600 sq ft) as I type.We just had a 81’- 85’ heat wave for a few days, not normal for PNW. I did a lot of research on what I needed and what this brand offered, happy I chose this. Will know more later with higher temps in July.

Bought it for our large attic bedroom so it gets hot and humid before the rest of the house and it worked like a charm.

Just what was needed w/ a few minor issues

Just installed this unit in master bedroom, very easy to install and very cold. Only issues was I needed a bit more insulation tape for my install. Just the way the house sits. The adapter from unit to hose was warped so is not perfectly round like the vent hose. There is no drain hose included, though probably not needed, would have been nice to have even a short piece. And finally the power cord is able to be secured to the back of the unit when not in use, but there are no "wrap arms" with the unit. I see the places for them on the unit, but none came with it. Might have been nice to also include some window locks to secure window that is now open, but I understand, every install is a bit different.
I would recommend this to a friend!
