Solid construction and product but...

Of all the things to cheap out on, they cheaped out on the insulation/adhesive. Had to buy extra foam to seal vertical window separately. Just felt like a pathetically cheap oversight
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good for a small office

Replaced my ac that went in the window as my wife was concerned it would fall out and hit our small child.( valid concern indeed.)
Office is 10x8, when it’s 80 I set it to 72 auto cool and it’s perfect for me, can go much lower. Is it a little loud? Maybe, not enough for me to complain about that as I am not sweating bulllets while working.
Cannot speak to season by season longevity as this is the first one.
Up front it is a solid unit for an affordable price point.
I would recommend this to a friend!
