After 7 months of watching cooking shows while in shelter-in-place, I knew it was time to get a better brand of gas cooktop. I searched on numerous websites, and after reviewing the Empava models decided that would be the best value for cost and the kind of cooking my family does. You can't beat the price of this Empava stove, the cast iron grates are solid and provide a nice flat surface. I recommend keeping a microfiber cloth around to polish the stainless steel cooktop of fingerprints, after using a liquid cleanser to get off any cooking gunk. Having that super hot center burner is a total game-changer when it comes to boiling water and stir fries. Sometimes the starter gets a little temperamental, but still, this stove is a winner!
We bought this cooktop to replace our old unit. First. It fits the opening we had with about a 1/4" to spare. Second. We have blue flames, others have posted that they have orange flame. Third. You are going to need stainless steel cleaner to clean this unit. It’s literally stainless steel and household cleaners leave streaks. Forth. For our house, built in 2015, this was plug and play. Only needed pipe thread sealant to install. Have cooked on it twice and I’d say the flame was a bit less hot than the previous unit, but not in a way that effects cooking results.
