[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really happy with the Plugable Thunderbolt 5 Dock 140 W. It has a sturdy design. Is more compact than I expected and comes with a convenient stand. The ports are well arranged, including Thunderbolt, USB 3.0, Ethernet , SD and Micro SD, making it easy to connect multiple devices. The connectivity is very stable, and data transfer speeds are fast. The dock can support two external displays with excellent image quality, up to 8K, although Mac users should keep in mind the display limitations of their specific Mac. The 140W power supply also works efficiently, powering the dock while charging the laptop. The dock runs quickly, doesn’t get hot during extended use, and has a sleep mode. The power button is also very convenient, especially with my Mac, since I can turn on the laptop from the dock without opening the lid. Overall, this is a powerful, easy to use dock that’s perfect for laptops that need multiple displays and peripherals.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is build with precision. Is a heavy and powerful. Perfect to setup your computer for extra speed and power. I will definitely recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A sleek docking station that makes it much more convenient to setup my dual monitor setup.
I use a M1 Pro MacBook (which only supports 1 external monitor over thunderbolt) and this docking station reduces the number of cords I connect directly to it from 5 to 2, making it much easier for to take my laptop and go and to setup my home office again.
I can connect one monitor, my keyboard and mouse and also have the docking station charge my laptop. This is especially nice as I can just leave my charger in my bag for when I need to take my laptop on the go.
Makes me even more impatient for Asahi Linux to fully support dp-alt mode and thunderbolt so that I can have my fedora partition make full use of this as well!
Overall, good product. This device itself is very durable, and doesn’t heat up much. It looks nice and allow you to adjust your setup more easily, and helps me keep my cords under control a little bit more.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was super easy to set up. The instructions were simple and very easy to understand. You literally just plug and play. You just need to make sure to order the hdmi to usb-c cords ahead of time to plug in your monitor(s). I was very happy that I can use both my personal Mac and work PC with this dock and my two monitors. The dock I used before wasn’t capable of allowing me to use use 2 external monitors with my Mac. It has 3 usb slots, 2 lightening ports for monitors, 1 port to attach your computer and an additional usb-c charging port. There is also a aux port for headphones/speakers and slots for memory cards. The only issue I have is that I don’t know if it’s worth the price. If you have no problem with the price I do think it is a decent dock and I would recommend it, especially if you own a Mac. I received this product from Influenster and Plugable in exchange for my honest review.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you work from home with multiple computers and monitors this is a godsend. I have all of my units connected so I have all the monitors I could need! I love that it’s legit just one plug and then everything is wired through that. It’s really quiet and doesn’t emit heat (in an east coast summer, that would be a deal breaker, lol).
Product worked well untill one day it simple stopped working. Monitors stopped showing or connecting with the laptop machine. So we tried everything drivers updates etc but it didnt work so we un plugged it and switched to some other dock station. I tried to reach the support with all the info but then they started asking for additional details which seemed waste of time.
