Other than the gasket this canner will last a lifetime. Works 100 percent perfect. You cannot go wrong with this pressure canner.

However, buyers should be aware of the manufacturing origin. While Presto is a historic U.S. brand founded in 1905, their current canning pots are made in China. The design and quality testing are still handled in the U.S., and the build quality remains sturdy, but if 'Made in the USA' is your top priority, you may want to look at All American models instead.
