Started smoking smelled like gonna catch on fire

I bought this less than a month ago trying to purée a blended banana smoothie started smelling really bad like electrical fire and started to smoke I shut it off and unplugged it it wasn’t mixing my smoothie up either
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Question: The Sealing Ring - Rubber / Silicone

I would like to know if the sealing "O ring" is made from Rubber or silicone since my partner is allergic to rubber, and why is not a description of the material of the seal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sleek, functional addition to my kitchen's repetoi

My son gifted me with this lovely blender so I can make my protein shakes and salsa easily(and other things too,I'm sure). It is sleek and very easy to use. I LOVE the glass container as it is durable and oh so easy to clean! Thanks for the great product!

worked great...until it didn't

i bought this blender about 1&1/2-2 years ago...used about 3 times a month...worked really well...today i plugged it in and it was dead...did all of the troubleshooting...nothing...i guess things just don't last like they used to??
