Great smoothies

Great blender with many speeds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wonderful blender. This is great for crushing ice while making milk shakes. No chunks of ice remain. You get a nice smooth milk shake. When making cracker crumbs, the pulse feature and the crumb button make fine crumbs. The blending jar is one piece which makes cleaning very easy. The filler cap on the lid allows adding extra ingredients and not having to remove the entire lid. Nice feature. The blender purees soup to a smooth consistency. It is nice to have so many speeds on both the low and high settings. Push buttons on settings are clearly marked. This allows for achieving the appropriate blending you desire. Very easy to use. It is light weight and not heavy to lift. Highly recommend this blender.

Great Smoothie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To try out the blender, I made a smoothie of kefir, bananas, maple syrup, and cinnamon. It came out perfectly!
Next, I tried a commercial icy coffee mix. I put everything in the container. It took a little effort to get the ice cubes crushed. I did get my coffee drink.
I had to fit the container, in the bottom of the dishwasher, because it was too tall for the top rack. It came through that, with no problem.
I don’t plan to pour hot liquids, into the container.
I plan to use the blender primarily for smoothies, which it makes perfectly.
I didn't try the other functions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy “no frills” blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is you basic “no frills” blender. If you are looking for a simple to use blender for making smoothies and such, this one will get the job done. It is mostly made of plastic, so it requires some extra care when using.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only used the blender for three times and really like the small compact size that doesn’t really take up too much counter space. It’s great for smoothies. It sometimes doesn’t really blend ice that well but that’s fine for the size. I need to play with the different speeds to crush the ice more smoothly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hamilton Beach Wave Blender is the greatest by far. Modern looking with lots of great features. I was a little skeptical about using the ice breaker. Warning: very loud , but what do you expect when it's more or less crunching ice. This blender crushed ice so fine that I was tempted to make a smoothie! I love that I dont have to guess which buttons to push to make different items. Icy drink, smoothie, and milk shakes are a cinch to make for starters. There are so many things you can make! Way to go Hamilton Beach on another great product.
