Works and Looks Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using the same toaster for more than 15 years. It was old and it toasted like an old toaster. I couldn't rely on the settings. This toaster has replaced the old one and I couldn't be happier. Not only is the style sleek and color great (I love red in the kitchen), it toasts to perfection. I have toasted pop tarts, bagel, cinnamon bread and toast... all came out great. The settings are accurated and so no more pushing the handle back down for me!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love, Love, LOVE!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 1st toaster that I have had that actually toasts evenly on BOTH sides. It is very stylish and I enjoy the "pop" of red it brings to my kitchen counter. This toaster is not only great for toast, the bagel, defrost and warm feature all work wonderfully as well. I would recommend running it on 2-3 cycles toasting on a number 4 without anything in it when you first get it since it does give off a bit of an odor (aka "new" toaster smell). I use mine nearly everyday and sometimes multiple times per day. It is really great when we have made thick slice french toast and have leftovers, just pop them in on a warm cycle first then on the bagel setting and it comes out crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. I have yet to find a draw back to find any negative things to say about it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Toasting is not even. Sometimes the one half of the toast is not browned, sometimes the whole toast is browned. Resetting the exposure to heat doesn't seem to rectify this problem. I am now wondering if there is a toaster out there that browns the whole piece of toast equally. The last toaster I bought was the highest one in Consumer Reports. It was worse than this one.

Great Toaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster is awesome, love that it has bagel, frozen, cancel buttons. It toasts well and consistently, love the design of this toaster doesn’t take up much space, doesn’t feel hot on the outside. Like the removable tray easy to clean. The only con is the power cord there is no were to put it.

What Has Happened To Oster

I had always had an Oster Blender & it NEVER failed to perform so when it finally breathed it's last I knew that I would absolutely purchase another Oster. Same with our toaster. I purchased this toaster & while we do not use a toaster often, it is nice to have one when you do. That is unless it is THIS toaster. I purchased this toaster a few years ago & have been VERY disappointed in it. It takes forever to toast anything due to the fact that the little heating elements can't decide if they want to work or not. As I said, we do not use the toaster very often & with it not working even less & it just keeps disappointing. Tonight one of our boys tried to toast a waffle & this is the result. How does this even happen? I am sad to say that I will not be purchasing another Oster toaster. The quality & durability I had always depended on is no longer there.

not serviceable

worked great for 18 months then failed to latch. Probable cause is failure of electromagnetic latch. However the unit is not servicable and replacement parts are probably not available.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely love it. A toaster I spent over $200 on died. I happened to be at a local store and spotted this little guy and decided to give it a try. It’s perfect! Couldn’t be happier and so glad I didn’t spend more for less. Very happy.
