The 2 blending bases are very similar but if you use the wrong sealing ring, the ring gets blended with the smoothie. Replacement sealing rings are not available making the blender unusable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not thrilled

I bought this blender about 2 months ago and went to use it today. I put in all the ingredients and turned it on and it leaked all over the countertop. Threw out what I was attempting to make. Took everything apart and watched some videos and realized the gray ring around the blade didn’t fit and would not snap into place. Very frustrating

If your blender is leaking, check the following: 1. Is the sealing ring over the blade? 2. Is the threaded bottom cap on tight enough? 3. Is the jar cracked at the bottom? 4. Is the threaded bottom cap cracked? 5. Is the sealing ring missing? 6. Is the sealing ring cracked, broken, or rotting 7. Does the item being blended exceed jar capacity? If you check all points of the blender jar and the leaking still occurs, look for a replacement blade and sealing ring.
Your Oster Pro® Blender has a 3-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd kindly request that you contact us directly so we can determine the best resolution. Have a good day!

The lid broke the 2nd time I used it and there don’t seem to be replacement parts.

Food Processor is a disaster.

I have enjoyed using the blender, however, the first time (only time) I used the food processor was to grate chocolate and it was awful. Instead of grating the chocolate it melted it. Then, it was almost impossible to open as the chocolate seemed to seal the lid closed. When I finally got it apart I noticed that several of the parts seem to be worn out. It has only been used that once. I followed the instructions using pulse and low speeds only.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broken

We're bought this 2 years ago. And it's worked great for smoothies but the first time we tried the food processor was to make peanut butter and it broke the shaft in the past called "adapter" which is what connected the blades to the base. So now the food processor is useless and I can't not find a replacement pay without buying an entire new vessel with blades lid and adapter.
