[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually deep fry but that is not healthy at all. I have wanted an air fryer for a long time. This one did not disappoint! The basket rotates to cook food evenly. Keep in mind the times listed in the included recipe book, as well as the Cooking Guide in the instruction manual, are for the amounts listed. If you are making, for instance, half of the fries it says you do not cook it nearly as long. The first time I tried just a small amount of fries (maybe 1 cup) to test the machine out and they were very overcooked. Adjust the cooking time accordingly or check on the progress while it is cooking so you know when they are finished cooking. If you want to make anything that was freshly breaded you most likely do not want to use the basket and will need to purchase a rack. The rotating of the basket can cause the breading to fall off.
I cooked a whole chicken using the rotisserie attachment and it came out amazing. It was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Cooking Guide mentions using a chicken that is about 3.5-5 lbs, but I used one that was close to 6lbs. That is probably the largest chicken you can use to still allow it to rotate freely. It was just barely missing the sides when it rotated. It also took maybe 30 minutes or so longer to cook which I expected since it was larger.
I love the fact that you can open the lid while anything is cooking and it automatically stops running so you can check the progress of the food. It then continues where it left off when you close the lid.
Cleanup is pretty easy. There is a large, removable pan under the basket or rotisserie that just needs washed out after. Everything that fell or dripped down will be in that. The basket and rotisserie attachment can be washed easily as well.
Overall, I am so pleased with this air fryer. Food comes out tasting amazing and it's so much healthier than using oil. It might take a lot longer to cook than using a deep fryer but it doesn't take any longer than cooking in an oven and the texture is actually better than oven baked food.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a little over a week ago and haven’t been able to stop using it since! The first thing I cooked in this Twist N Crisp Air Fryer was a rotisserie chicken. I was beyond excited to be able to make my own rotisserie chicken at home with the included rotisserie attachment. I was a bit skeptical when the instructions said to cook for an hour for a 4.5 whole chicken but I tested it out as instructions stated. Be sure to tie legs securely together around the bar as this appliance is as space saving as possible while still having a larger capacity than most. When the hour finished I checked the temperature of the chicken and it was definitely ready and beautiful at that! The whole family loved it and it was tender and hot and fresh! We’ve made quite a bit of dinner sides in the rotating basket like roasted cauliflower, French fries, and chicken nuggets since then and it has been a wonderful appliance for us with all of it! I love the digital touch screen that provides more precision than knobs. It also has an auto shutoff timer. I highly recommend this air fryer with rotisserie attachment to anyone looking for a new favorite appliance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted a Air Fryer forever so was so excited to try this George Foreman Twist 'N Crisp air fryer! I knew it could do a alot things but did not realize until I received and I seen the recipe booklet included. It has been fun to try new things in it and know that it is healthier for me and my family. It is easy to use and to clean. It does take up some space on my countertop but I would totally recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very skeptical about this new kitchen appliance. I really didn't understand the hype.... Until I got one. Wow.. I understand now! Delicious food is made very quickly now and tastes better than I've ever made it. My kids have loved every single meal I have made so far and I have made many meals in it. If you are reading this and are on the fence about is it worth it.... Yes! It definitely is.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used an air fryer before and was slightly confused and intimidated before trying the George Foreman Twist 'N Crisp Air Fryer, but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use! The controls are very simple and it's very much like using an oven, but you get results more like that of a deep fryer (without all the extra fat!) I like that the drum inside rotates, so you don't have to worry about flipping or turning your food during cooking. It really helps to ensure even crispness on all sides. There's also a tiny rack included as well for foods that cannot go in the drum. I'm a little sad that you cannot buy the rotisserie attachments for this model as well because it just won't attach to the inside, but you can still fit an entire chicken in this model too, it would just need to sit on the rack instead. I do love that this air fryer doesn't take up much space and can do many things that your oven can and doesn't add any extra heat to your home! Much like your oven though, some foods do take a while to cook. Overall, I like the idea of this machine. I think I would be good for snacks and side dishes perhaps, but I think the inside of the machine is a little on the small side for a family of 4.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Air Fryer a few weeks ago and I am very impressed with all the features. I unfortunately did not receive a few pieces but customer service was very helpful and quickly took care of the problem. The air fryer is great for making French fries crisp and delicious. The recipe booklet has some amazig recipes that I can’t wait to try.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew I needed an air fryer / rotisarrie in my life, but I do now, I cant picture life without it now, it has changed up my dinner menu significantly! Perfectly juicy and tender pork loin (pictured) 20 mins per pound, perfect cook! Even handled a 5 1/2 lb chicken and a basket of chicken wings! I do wish the volume was adjustable, because when it is done it beeps rather loudly, but I dont mind, thats my only complaint thats not even a real complaint, its awesome!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] George Foreman Twist 'n Crisp Air Fryer is well, a disaster. I received my unit, washed the removable parts, dried, put it together and attempted my first dish. I loaded a small amount of raw potato slices into the basket with olive oil and set it to air fry at 425F for 45 minutes. After the time was up, I checked the food and it was barely warm and the potatoes were raw. I did an additional 45 minutes. The same thing happened. Barely warm food, and raw potatoes. At this time I gave up and cooked the potatoes on the stove. During the air frying there was a HORRIBLE BURNING PLASTIC SMELL! I had to put the entire unit under the vent fan and open the windows. I decided to revisit the air fryer again on a day I wasnt so hungry. Again, I tried raw potatoes with olive oil in the basket. The cage spins, and you can see a faint orange glow. At some point during the 45 minutes the lid popped open. I reset the settings and tried again. Once finished the potatoes were barely warm and raw. Again, terrible smell coming from the unit. I was determined to get this air fryer to cook so I decided to use the grill setting. I put the potatoes on the rack and turned it to 425F and to grill for 25 minutes just to see if it was going to do anything. After about 15 minutes I went to go look at the unit and it had no power. The display was not lit up and unplugging it and plugging it back in made zero difference. I let it cool down for hours, thinking maybe there was a heat sensor inside that got tripped. Nope. The unit is non-functional. It wont turn on anymore. I tried multiple plugs. It's officially dead. So overall, the unit looks really nice. The instructions seem clear and easy to understand. Unfortunately, the unit I received is non-functional, extremely stinky, and officially dead after two uses. I would definitely not recommend it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
