Nice Cover

Bought this cover before my phone was delivered based on another 'view Flip' I had for another phone. This one is light and seems to work well, though I haven't really dropped it from any distance (I seldom do that anyway with any of my phones). I like being able to see the time and notifications while keeping the cover closed. I also like that the phone comes on when I open the cover, face recognition means that for starting the phone I don't need my fingerprint scan. At first it seemed to want to stay either closed or open, but after a bit of use the folding part loosened up enough where it stays anyway I leave it - a magnetic closure would be appriciated.
I would recommend this to a friend!

overall, nice case with cool concepts. if you are one that constantly putting phone in and out of back pocket, this case is perfect. i like the texture and thin design. the only issue is that i too wish it had a magnet or locking mechanism to keep front closed.

Seriously flawed

Nice design, but the case has a serious flaw. Even with the slightest toss on the bed, the front cover opens, exposing the screen. I even tested this further by dropping my phone on the carpet at 5 foot drop and again the case flew open. It doesn't matter whether you fake toss, toss on the bed, drop on your carpet, the front cover will open, creating no protection for your screen in an actual drop!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i had a similar case on my s8 and loved it. i did drop my s8 once, the phone popped out and screen got cracked in a couple places. based on that experience i'm not asking much of this case as far as protection goes. i'm well aware of what i'm getting myself into this round. i am however disappointed there's not more images showing how the case functions. the old case had a magnet to keep it shut and you could use it as a stand a couple different ways. wish this case had those same features or at least a better description.
