LOVE IT! powerful but quiet, the fan suction is positioned where needed, so vapors don't roll over the top and coat cabinetry. The lighting is bright and brighter, its great! Sleek look, easy to clean and simple touch controls. I have used everything from combo microwave venting to commercial restaurant grade venting. For the stir-fry and spicy cooking in my kitchen this is a dream machine! I spoke with customer service, who was polite, knowledgeable about the products and kindly advised me. This gave me confidence in them backing their product and is part of the reason I went for it.
We've just used this hood for a few days. We hired a contractor for the installation, & it went smoothly for an hour. We bought this hood b/c it can be vent from the top or in the back. Ours was from the back. Most other vent with a high cfm seems to have the top vent only. When we seared a pork chop in a high heat, all the smoke got sucked up toward the filters, but it was loud. The touch screen is nice, however, we don't know how long would it last since things related to computer/programming may not be much reliable. We prefer the manual buttons but the other model doesn't have the back vent option for it. The lights have dim & bright levels, so it is a nice feature. So far, we are happy with the product, so we will give it a 5 stars. We will update our review if any problem down on the road.
Designed like a commercial unit. Did not mention installation minimum height. Appearance is quite good, but it is quite heavy. Design does not allow for removal of much weight to lighten unit for easier installation. Hope I do not have a heat shut down problem as my installation will be below min height stated over gas stove. Now installed and operational, a little loud but sucked a fly which wandered in out at medium speed. No problems after use above gas stove and oven.

Installment is easy. You need one long Phillips Screwdriver, and something (car Jacks) to raise it up.Performance is powerful, noise is less than expected.
Overall good vent fan, solid construction and heavy duty dual fan motors and blades. The hood does indeed move alot of air, and is relatively quiet considering the significantly increased air movement over a standard unit. Unit was extremely well packaged. Here are the considerations when choosing to purchase:1. If you need to use the rear exhaust option, beware that the adapter piece requires a couple of inches to make the transition from a longer narrower rectangle to the standard rectangular size. In my installation i was not able to use the adapter and instead needed to change out the wall vent to a damper unit, and just direct couple the hood to the wall fitting.2. The stainless steel is 400 series which is a lower grade that 300 series. This only becomes important if you are trying to match the hood to a high end stove that is made from 300 series non-magnetic stainless steel. 400 series tends to have a bluish tint while 300 is more of a yellowish tint.3. The Tats is longer that the average home unit, about 4-5 inches. For me that was an advantage as it covers the stove better.4. The unit I received was produced in July 2017 but had halogen lights. I swapped them for LED but i do get some flicker on the low setting, but fine on the high setting. The unit seemed to be advertised as containing LED lights.5. There is a big sticky label on the side of the vent which takes significant effort to remove. I cant imagine why they chose to stick it there with hyper-aggressive adhesive but they did. Time for the Goof-Off.For the money I consider this unit a good value, it does seem well made and solid, and I am happy with it.
The product is good. However, the installation process is not that easy at all for me. Please improve the design to make the installation easier, then I will buy a second one in the future.
