Hauslane UC-PS38 Review

We are happy with the performance of this hood after a month of ownership. This is a marked improvement over our previous hood, which was also rated at ~900cfm. Lesson learned - do not rely on cfm/suction numbers as claimed, since there is really no testing standard and therefore no basis for direct comparison between manufacturers. This hood is quiet, has good suction, and has features that suit our purposes well.
Pros:
-Good suction power, even at setting 3
-Depth is ideal to cover most range front burners
-Relatively quiet at all settings compared to previous hood and microwave/hood combos from our experience
-Convenient to remove and clean grease traps
Cons:
-Relatively heavy. Good idea to recruit a 2nd person for installation.
-Combination of depth and our cabinet height places hood at head-smacking level for me. Your results will likely vary.
-Very sharp edges inside require care when installing
-Slight noise from grease trap due to vibrations at highest settings.

Great purchase!

My range hood might be one of the best purchases I made last year. We purchased a new range months prior to this and it is so powerful that our entire house would smell like meat and/or grease every time we cooked. I couldn’t stand it so I bought the UC-PS38 range hood to replace the one we had and it works wonders. Now we can cook and fry anything without it stinking up the entire house. The suction is powerful enough that I rarely need to turn it on above the second setting. It’s fairly quiet and the lights light up the whole range and make the area look nice. I would definitely recommend.

Reliable Performance Since 2022

I've owned the Hauslane hood since early 2022, and it's been an absolute game-changer in my kitchen with zero issues over the years. I love the auto steam clean function it has been a game changer in making it so easy to keep the range fans clean. I usually run the steam-clean cycle every month, and my unit is still performing as great as the first day I got it even 3 years later!
The noise levels are also impressively low it doesn't drown out the tv in the other room or music while I'm cooking. I also like that I can talk on the phone and the other person doesn't hear the whooshing of the fans. Oh also another great feature is the LED lights that provide excellent illumination of the entire cooking surface, and I also love that instead of using proprietary, difficult-to-source bulbs for the lights they are just a GU10 bulb so you can run to your hardware store and they are right there sitting on the self.
I have to say overall this has been a great unit and I definetly would buy it again!

No more smell in the house

It works great no more smell or smoke in the house
It takes extra help to install but not too bad my wife loves it no more open windows and doors when we cook the best house upgrade 👍

I bought this hood range 4 years ago and have a friend looking for a new hood exhaust. I recommend this hood range for anyone looking for a new one. We installed this hood when we bought our new house since my wife loves to cook food all of the time, and sometimes, the smell can be overwhelming. With this exhaust, I sometimes don't even know she is cooking!
