Excellent exhaust fan

We changed from internal to external exhaust with this model. We could not be more pleased with it’s performance. It is quite powerful. Removing any aerosol byproduct of cooking is quick and effective. The self cleaning capability of this is also a great benefit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everything is good but even though it has a self-cleaning function, it is difficult to take the parts apart to do the cleaning. The hinges are to small and difficult to align. The clock didn't work and hard to set. The instruction manual is not detail enough to follow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I did a *bunch* of research before choosing this and I am so pleased that I did. I love this design, it looks great, works extremely well. I love the features of so many fan speed options, I love the grease guard and self cleaning feature (tho I still have not used that yet) and the lights are just right. Bright but not harsh. I appreciate the customer support as well.
It is a serious piece of machinery and was NOT easy to install, mostly because it's incredibly heavy. (We used a car jack because we didn't have professional cabinet lifts -because who does?- and that was tricky.) I found the directions slightly confusing, and one of the small plastic pieces (the flap) broke, but Hauslane had pretty quick response with tech support suggestions when I reached out, so that was overall pretty good.
TL;DR This is an excellent hood vent from what seems to be an good company.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Hauslane vent does exactly has advertised. I have not used the steam cleaning feature yet, but have high hopes it will work great also.

This is an excellent range hood at a fair price. The fit and finish is pretty good. I love the clock display because it's bright with a clear font. Hopefully it doesn't have issues as others have experienced. I went from a non-vented microwave to this range hood and it works better than I expected. The cooking smells have been drastically reduced and the cooking area is staying grease free. The exhaust is very powerful. It kicks up dust outside when it's on max from 12 feet high. It's almost like a leaf blower mounted on the side of my house.I do wish it was a higher quality stainless steel because magnets do stick to it which tells me some money was saved in its construction. That's reflected in its price, but I would pay more for higher quality materials.The mounting holes were a challenge to access. Especially the left rear located next to the blower motor. I think it took me a dozen attempts to get my bolt lined up and threaded through. It was frustrating, but now that it's installed, I couldn't be happier.This is a must have for Asian style cooking. I needed high CFMs and this hood delivers. I was skeptical of the perimeter suction design versus typical baffles, but I've found it's much easier to clean. Perhaps baffles are better for high greese content, but if your focus is eliminating odor then this hood performs great.

Works great but not easy to install. Contractor took forever to get it in because it doesn?? have screw holes? I don?? know. Something they said. It works great though. Make sure you get a good contractor? Hahha

Quality range hood

I can't breathe well smelling cooking odors. Got this installed by professional. It works great if my wife remembers to turn it on. The timer is super easy to set also. Its well made.

Having reviewed several different options, and never hearing of Hauslane before, we took a chance and ordered this... pretty simple to install, great suction power. We will see how this works over time.
