My son installed my new hood yesterday and I was so pleased with the results. It is so beautiful. It works as described. I tried the cleaning function, even though it was clean, just to see it work. So cool. I love my amazing Chef hood.

- Powerful suction. I also use it to help circulating the air in the house with windows open. Works really well.
- The lights are bright, which is great when cooking and prepping for food, or just in general for a bright kitchen.
- the self cleaning function is helpful but not quite enough. Manual cleaning is still needed.
- the magnetic stubs for the panel makes the cleaning a lot easier.

works great once installed

It is powerful and works great for kitchen. The only complains is it lack of delayed turn-off. The product is heavy, need at least two person to install, the template helps but not enough. It is very difficult to align 4 screws to the mounting hole. The easy installation is align rear two screws and put the front two screws through predrilled holes use power tool.

It is hard to install this, do not do it alone. You have to vent it with as short a run as possible and use 6" diameter steel piping. Don't try to do this as a first time thing. Make sure you build out the cabinet bottoms and have at least 12 " from wall to front of cabinet. Drill out holes for the piping 1/4 or 1/2" larger (6 1/2 or 6 1/2"). The rear mounting screw on the right is very close to the power cord hole, if the hole intrudes on the space for the screw it is important to provide blocking or a hanger. Other than that, fantastic machine! I love the touch panel, can't wait to use the cleaning function.

best vent hood

We have bought several vent hoods in the past and watched all the smoke go around the hood and up to the ceiling, usually resulting in our smoke alarms going off. This is the first vent hood that actually works, and the first time we used it, we just stood there and watched all the smoke get vented out so well. We are definitely happy with the PS38 and would recommend it to anyone.

Great Vent!

We love the many fan speeds. The lowest couple are relatively quiet. The highest settings are pretty loud but they pull a lot of air out too. For most use cases, lower speeds work really well.
Installation was straightforward.
The lights are also quite nice. We are super happy so far!
