Not the easiest install - so far no complaints.

I bought the PS38 during Black Friday. So far, it's working well - haven't tried the steam function yet though, which is what it's touted for. Not as easy to install as it looks in the video - it took us about 2-3 hours to install it. Fortunately, we had the proper tools on hand.

Beautiful looking unit and it moves some serious air! My neighbours definitely know when and what I am cooking. Easy function and built very sturdy. The tray on the underside of the unit is held on by magnet and a slide in hinge and it sometimes vibrates which is annoying but you can get it to stop after a little fiddling. One thing I wish was an option is to hardwire the unit. It is as simple as cutting the plug off and just using the wires BUT it is not in the instructions and I didn't want to mess with the warranty so I opted to installed a plug for it. It is loud at the highest speed but I geerally use it at mid speed and it is just fine. Still plenty strong enough to evacuate the smoke and smell of cooking. Happy with the purchase

I bought this model toward the end of 2019. It has worked great since then with 6 levels of fan power. Even setting at the 1st or 2nd level, the suction power is great for our needs. The 6th level is really strong! Another great feature is the self-cleaning feature/auto-cleaning. It cleans the oily motor and fan with hot sprayed water less than 3 minutes by the water pump. My water pump broke. They sent me one for free and it's relatively easy to replace it!
Highly recommended if it falls on your budget and you usually do heavy cooking!

I had this installed just a couple of weeks ago and I wonder why I waited so long to replace my over the range microwave with this incredible vent. I have only used it a few times since, but I can see I will no longer set my smoke alarm off and will never need to paint my ceiling and trim again due to smoke and grease wafting up. This vent is very powerful and relatively quiet when on high (super quiet on the lower speeds). I have two minor items that are a bit irksome. The clock is not very accurate as it loses time very quickly once set. Honestly, it does not need a clock as most stoves and microwaves have them and most folks have these in their kitchen anyway. Also, it would be nice to have an always on power situation with this model so your lights can be turned on without having to separately press the power button.
