We've been super pleased with our choice! We were looking at commercial high-end units and only hauslane had the color and install options that we really needed. We were so pleased to find something that matched our decor, but also with my functioned for an active home cook! At the highest setting the fan is loud, but we often only need it on level one or two to deal with our everyday cooking.

A satifying addition to a newly built kitchen

I bought a Hauslane PS18 range hood for a new kitchen. Hauslane was one of the few manufacturers out there who offered a white finish, which was important to us. It was installed in July of 2025 and we began using it in September (when we moved), so we've been using it for six months. We like a lot about the hood, most importantly, it really moves steam, smoke and cooking odors out of the kitchen well, even on the lowest fan settings. We find the down light nice and bright without shining directly into a cook's eyes; we often use only that light for food prep and stovetop use. The steel filter grids can be removed and reinstalled very easily and are easy to clean. One thing that could be a drawback for tall cooks -- the hood extends from the wall almost as far as the front edge of the range. This makes it really functional but it also means you can bump your head on the front corners if you're not paying attention. We like the feature that allows you to choose a huge range of fan speed and power; we'd like it to be a little quieter, although on the speed we usually use -- two or three bars on the display -- it doesn't make so much noise that people in the kitchen have to raise their voices to be heard over it. I wish it didn't make a beeping noise when you change the time or the fan speed, but recognize the need for that feature for people with impaired vision. The smooth clean finish is sleek and modern-looking without being "space-agey." It fits nicely with our kitchen cabinets and other appliances. I'd buy another one.

The Hauslane UC-PS18 is one of the best additions to my home. It works efficiently and gets rid of cooking odors in an instant! I highly recommend this product.

Great hood range but with some minor flaws

Love the look and ease of cleaning. Nice suction but loud which I don't mind too much since it's just during cooking but would be nice to have another lower setting. Installation could be a bit of a challenge but nothing I couldn't handle. Overall I'm satisfied.

Strong suction and sleek design

I’ve been using the UC-PS18 for a while and it’s been a great upgrade for my kitchen. The suction power is strong and clears smoke and cooking odors quickly, even when cooking at higher heat. It runs quieter than I expected, which makes a big difference during everyday use.
The stainless steel design looks sleek and fits nicely under the cabinet without taking up extra space. The lights are bright and make it easy to see while cooking, and the unit feels sturdy and well-built. Overall, I’m very happy with the performance and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable under-cabinet range hood.
