Happy with our purchase

This is a nice upgrade to a builder kitchen we are trying to lightly reno. We removed the ugly microwave over the cooktop and installed the Hauslane hood vent ourselves. Easy install, great suction and the lights are excellent for cooking. Also, the price is excellent when comparing high end brand hood vents that don’t even get as good ratings. Only challenge was where the vent to the outside was located (much lower than the 12” that is recommended for proper suction.) Had to do a little ‘craft project’ to make a suitable connection to get around this issue. If I could ask for one thing it would be an option to adjust the light brightness for at night because I like to use it as a night light.

Great Kitchen Upgrade Upgrade

We replaced a 200CFM older range hood with this Hauslane and are very happy finally being able to cook steaks, burgers, or stir fry with little or no greasy or smoky smell lingering the next day. I was a thinking it might be loud with so much air movement but this one draws much more air but is somehow no louder than the old one and is an acceptable volume to talk or watch tv in the next room. I only wish there were a lower setting than the lowest speed because I don't notice that much difference going from 1- 6. The lights are very bright and make it really easy to see what you are cooking.

Awesome exhaust fan!

This is one awesome exhaust fan. Not only is it stylish looking, but it is wonderfully effective! We removed our old over the range microwave with its very ineffective exhaust system and had this installed. It is everything we wanted. I also love the chime!

I believe this to be one of the best value range hoods on the market. It is well made, attractive and relatively quiet for the large volume of air it is capable of moving. The touch panel works well and is easy to use. I particularly appreciate the fact that the baffle filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher. We changed from a downdraft system to an overhead custom system in our brick alcove and is works much better and is much more quiet than the old system. My only complaint is that it was very challenging to reach the two rear mounting screws for tightening. Got it done but took an interesting tool setup.
