I just got the fan installed. I love the sleek look. My only negative comment is the noise level, but I knew that would be the case based on reviews that I read. The compromise is worth it.

Ductless hood installation

I’ll start by saying that this low-profile range hood was exactly what I wanted, and works the it’s supposed to. I suspect if you are vented to the outside, it could be an easy installation. I needed a ductless install; so, this review is directed to you in the hopes it gives you some guidance up front.
My cabinets are 15” high and 12” deep. While technically the IN-R100 fits into a 12” cabinet, it just barely fits in, and does not allow space for tile or other backsplash. If you can, the ideal would be 13” depth cabinets. My IN-R100 is right up against the back wall, so the tile will have to overlap it.
Although it can be installed ductless, keep in mind that the air will need to vent somewhere. While the unit itself is only about 9” high, the vent opening is 6” in diameter, and so needs much more than the 5” of space that I had remaining in the cabinet in order to be able to clear the flexible aluminum duct. We ended up going into the ceiling above the cabinet to run the duct to vent on the other side of my cabinets.
So, while I love the IN-R100, it does require some serious planning IN ADVANCE of ordering your cabinets if you are installing it in a location that is not vented straight up to the outside. I ended up spending almost as much for the installation as the unit cost because of the complex installation. But the finished look is clean and efficient.

Love the product!

I have been using this product for a year and have extremely happy with it as it is very strong and does the job it is intended to! When I cleaned the filter yesterday, I noticed that a screw was missing on the backside of the filter that holds the little lever in place. Phoned today and was replaced with no problem and it’s on its way. It is so awesome to actually speak to someone and get a problem resolved quickly! I would definitely refer this product to anyone in the market. I do agree with another customer that said this little lever should be manufactured better!

I put in a new kitchen and have cabinets above my new propane stove. My range hood installer and I called Hauslane because I wanted to purchase one of their quality range hoods. Luckily, I found the company while surfing the web. We were able to talk to an engineer at Hauslane who informed us we needed a 30" clearance from the flame to the exhaust. Success! Hauslane had just the product I needed - an in-cabinet stainless steel range hood! Beautiful low profile ... less than 1/4 inch showing and it has LED lighting and 3 exhaust speeds, with the highest being 600 CFM's. Anybody can purchase a cheap run-of-the-mill range hood. Do yourselves a favor and check out this company before making a final decision. It's worth every penny you spend! You'll be glad you did!

I bought it in October 2021, the hood is amazing, fit perfectly in standard RTA 30" inches cabinet
we used it ductless, Charcoal Filter work really well no grease inside the cabinet at all, hood is normal loud but is really strong sucking all the grease and smoke from your range
