Major Design Flaw in the Top Lid

I usually love Presto Products , have been using them for 30 years. I had a Presto meal maker machine that I was literately using on three legs holding it up with a brick! So when I saw this item I jumped at the chance to buy it. I hadn't had it 4 months and a part broke of the lid making it unusable. I called the company and they sent me another one. I handled this thing with kid gloves and unfortunately within 6 months the same exact thing happened. but this time the part from the lid just crumbled and disintegrated in my hand! So Disappointing to say the least! I was so upset. I contemplated calling the company a second time but decided against it. Just figured I guess I will have to look for another Brand which I just did and Actually I would really prefer this Presto brand over Insta Pot but until they fix that problem with the lid, I guess I will just have to go ahead and buy a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I see They Changed The LID DESIGN!

I see They Changed The LID DESIGN so I am going to give this another try! But buyers beware if your thinking about buying the pressure cooker canner because that lid I was having all the problems with they are using that lid now on their canner. :(

Please note the 02141 model is a pressure COOKER, and NOT a canner. This does not have canning features and not programed to have this function. presto 6 quart electric program pressure cooker

love this thing, the first time i used it was cooking chicken. m,y mom said my seasoning was a little off, but she says i been much better now. a little soap and water and its clean. there's lots of recipes out there so have fun. and it has a keep warm thing thats automatic so you can come back up to 4 hours later and eat and its still good.
