I bought the elite from Amazon last week and have been using the unit daily since. The auto on feature has only worked once. The water reservoir is made from very cheap plastic and the lid fits poorly. I do not like the lighting as the lights do not help you use the machine without also turning on the lights in the room. The digital read out is poorly designed, difficult to read time, and incredibly simple and cheap for something called elite. It is the same type read out included on my Brita water pitcher. So far no leaks and the coffee tastes good. The strong feature works to increase coffee taste. Overall the unit is fair, not elite, I would like an actual elite model, would be great if it could boil water for tea, but that would likelt melt this unit.

I miss the features of my previous machine such as the touchscreen, and the light in the water container. Also miss the ability to program a specific time for the brewer to turn off. At least the feature is still there to set a time for it to come on. The only option, if enabled, with the new machine is to have it turn off after 2 hours. Then you have to turn on the power button again. I find that very annoying. The new machine does brew a good cup of coffee but overall the machine seems "cheaper". I had to send the first one of this new model back because the clock was defective. The replacement is working ok. I suspect this machine cost less to manufacture but still costs customers about the same as the previous models. I don't however miss the carafe feature of the previous model. Never seemed to make good coffee unless you cut the amount of water so I found it was better just to brew the single cups. May I suggest what I think would be a good model would be to make one unit with a traditional 12 cup drip coffee maker with a k cup machine in one counter top unit.

We appreciate your review and apologize that we could not meet your expectations. We will pass your feedback onto our engineering and quality teams for review.
I was amazed at how quiet this machine is. I love the push button to select the cup size instead of the dial we had on our previous machine. Really like the new look of the machine also and it was nice having color options to chose from.
