I replaced my 400 2.0 Keurig with the Elite and love the easier access to buttons without having to go through the touch screen along with its streamline build!
I bought this Keurig in an effort to save money. My husband drinks Starbucks coffee for the taste and convenience. I asked him if he would consider making coffee at home if we bought a Keurig. He agreed. He bought his 2 favorite Starbucks brand from our local grocery and has been making his own coffee every since we got the Keurig machine. He told me today that this Keurig was a great investment, and he is very pleased with it. I rarely drink coffee due to the aftertaste. However, I tried the light roast Veranda Starbucks brand that my husband bought, and it didn't have the aftertaste. As a result, I have also been enjoying our Keurig.
I own seven Keurig coffee makers and this one is nice but I don't like that I can't see the water level from the front of the machine. The silver covering on the water reservoir hides the water and the only way you can see the water level is from the side. I also don't feel that the quality of the materials used to make the machine are as good as the older models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I received my Keurig a week or so ago and the coffee tastes great. I love the button features. This is my second coffee maker and it is great to make one cup at a time.

This is our second Keurig machine, identical to the first that has served us wonderfully for the past few years. BTW, that first machine still works & is being moved to a second kitchen space soon to be finished at our home. The K-Elite has a Great range of features, including an easy-to-use water chamber that is high capacity. Also it dispenses on demand MANY different cup sizes -- so you can obtain exactly the finished # of oz you need for your freshly made drink or other hot water task. Operates quietly & reliably. Looks sleek on the counter also. For coffee brewing we use Keurig-brand refillable K-cups most often, so we can tinker with our own % caffeine strength and/or create special flavor mixes, etc. Lots of fun. Simply wonderful custom hot drinks on demand. Really, can't imagine we will EVER go back to the older style approach of making "pots" of coffee.

This is the 3rd elite I have owned. Unfortunately there life seems to be no more then 12 to 18 months. When you pay this amount for a coffee maker it should last much longer. I only purchased again because the price I paid matches with how long it will probably last.
